Trainer Content Creator – Contract
We are seeking a highly skilled Trainer and content author to design, develop and deliver training programs that enhance technical skills and knowledge across Insurance-related IT applications. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from home and visit offices as required for in-person training and collaboration.
What you will do
- Design and author: Create comprehensive training programs and materials to meet programme training needs.
- Deliver training: Run training sessions, workshops, classes and seminars on various IT topics, both online and in-person for colleagues at different levels.
- Assess needs: Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop appropriate solutions.
- Evaluate effectiveness: Measure training impact through assessments, feedback and performance metrics for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate: Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather and validate training content.
- Maintain resources: Keep induction and training websites, documentation, manuals, lessons and online resources current and valuable.
- Contribute strategy: Help shape the training strategy and continuously improve content and delivery mechanisms.
- Coaching and support: Provide one-on-one coaching and support to employees needing additional guidance.
- Support adoption: Assist in implementing and driving adoption of new processes, solutions and applications through training and support.
Skills and experience
- More than 10 years’ experience on large-scale insurance or financial services projects, with knowledge of insurance concepts and terminology.
- Proven experience working as an IT Trainer and content creator.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with business and technical subject matter experts.
- Flexibility to work with diverse international teams and cultures; ability to work in different languages.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take leadership of assigned work areas.
- Fluent English; French or Dutch at professional business level is a distinct advantage.
- Certification in instructional design or training methodologies preferred.
- Industry certifications in relevant IT areas (for example Microsoft Certified Trainer) highly desirable.
- Familiarity with learning management systems, self-help applications and e-learning platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and training needs.
- Microsoft SharePoint experience.
