Rentmeester

Responsibilities

As a Rentmeester at Enexis, you will work on multiple projects simultaneously within the EBS Zuid team, which serves the regions of Brabant and Limburg for medium and high voltage projects and routes. Your tasks will include the renewal or reinforcement of cables and pipelines, the construction of a new transport distribution station, or the installation of a cable route to a wind or solar park. You will negotiate with various landowners, from farmers to municipalities, provinces, and water boards, to arrange the purchase or use of public and private lands.

Your role involves convincing different landowners of the necessity and benefits of our projects, ensuring fair compensation, minimizing damage to land and crops, and meeting project deadlines. You will conduct most negotiations at the landowner’s location, often having only one opportunity to achieve the best result. Your goal is to treat all landowners equally, build good relationships, and reach satisfactory agreements. You will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas for process improvements and take initiatives.

Team and Collaboration

You will be part of the Energiesysteem Omgeving EBS Zuid team, a diverse group of approximately 12 colleagues, including environmental managers, environmental law lawyers, rentmeesters, energy transition partners, and support functions. The team is led by a project manager and works from two locations: Weert and Eindhoven. Collaboration with colleagues from departments such as asset management and infrastructure is key, providing you with the opportunity to meet various people within the medium and high voltage chain and our organization.

You will delve into the background of the person you are dealing with and their environment to achieve the best results.

Requirements

• Education:

  You have completed an HBO education and have experience in a similar work environment.

• Experience:

  You have at least 5 years of experience in land acquisition.

• Knowledge:

  You possess financial and legal knowledge of land ownership.

• Skills:

  You quickly understand the work involved in laying cables and pipelines and building electricity stations, and you know what is involved in the operations of various agricultural businesses.

• Certification:

  You are a member (or aspiring member) of the NVR as a sworn rentmeester and/or have completed the rentmeester training.
