Responsibilities
As a
Medewerker Veilig Thuis
, you will provide advice and support to individuals and professionals regarding risk-driven and restorative care. You will handle reports and conduct conversations with those involved about the reported concerns. You will perform safety assessments and, if necessary, immediately restore safety through safety conditions. Together with those involved, you will create a safety plan to prevent new unsafe situations. After involvement, you will advise the parties involved and the municipality about the follow-up and ensure the transfer of information.You will start in the monitoring/waitlist management team, where you will be responsible for monitoring safety conditions. You will follow cases to ensure that things are going well at home and continue to do so. You will maintain regular contact with the transfer party and the directly involved individuals. You will assess whether safety conditions are being met and whether they lead to immediate and stable safety. You will look for structural improvements that truly break the cycle of violence and pay attention to any trauma and the implementation of restorative care.
Additionally, you will be the point of contact for the local field and other chain partners. You will follow cases, engage, think along, adjust conditions, escalate to the Child Protection Board, or close cases when stable safety is achieved. You will act as a process manager and a central figure among adults, children, the local field, SAVE Youth Protection, Youth Probation, and the Child Protection Board. Together with a colleague, you will manage the waitlist and maintain contact with those involved to keep an eye on safety. This role provides an opportunity to learn all processes of Veilig Thuis and grow to independently handle cases.
Requirements
Participation in the on-call service (an average of 7 shifts per month) is part of your job. The on-call services take place on weekdays from 17:00 to 08:30 and on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 08:30 to 08:30.
