Responsibilities

• Advising on Reconstruction Projects:

  Evaluate and provide guidance on the application of greenery, including trees and shrubs, growth site design, and integration with existing green structures.

• Ensuring Green Interests:

  Safeguard green interests in spatial and infrastructural projects such as housing developments and road construction/reconstructions.

• Maintaining Ecological and Functional Quality:

  Ensure ecological and functional quality within housing developments, infrastructure projects, and other urban transformations.

• Design and Specification Assessment:

  Review and assess designs, specifications, and growth site constructions based on quality, sustainability, and feasibility.

• Guidance and Implementation:

  Lead the implementation of green strategies in collaboration with various stakeholders, including project teams, strategic managers, and supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic and Technical Advising:

  Provide strategic and technical advice on the management, design, and development of public green spaces.

• Evaluation and Optimization:

  Assess and optimize green plans and growth sites in reconstruction and new construction projects.

• Integral Approach:

  Ensure an integrated approach where greenery is a structural component of public spaces.

Outcome

By the end of the assignment, the existing population should be fully capable of independently integrating greenery without guidance. Additionally, ambitions and policy frameworks related to Renkum’s municipal green policy should be implemented, such as addressing heat stress by ensuring more trees and/or open ground are present at the project’s conclusion than at its start.
